CampbellReith is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to work in our London office.

CampbellReith is an independent, award‑winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for innovative and sustainable design. Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our London office. As a senior engineer you will take the geotechnical lead on projects. Your role will include:

  • Leading the design and management of ground investigations
  • Preparation of ground models and geotechnical risk assessments
  • Geotechnical design and analysis, including foundations, earthworks, retaining walls, slopes and ground movement assessments
  • Technical review and mentoring of junior staff
  • Ownership of geotechnical deliverables and quality assurance
  • Site support of ground investigations and construction
  • Providing geotechnical advice to colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Preparing fee proposals and inputting to project bids

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in civil engineering, engineering geology or an MSc in a ground engineering discipline. Structural engineering and geology degrees with a strong focus on geotechnical engineering will also be considered.
  • Chartered with the ICE or GeolSoc or on track to achieve this within 12 months.
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy with people and project management skills commensurate with the role.
  • Strong interpretive report writing and geotechnical analysis skills.
  • Experience in the use of geotechnical software such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, Wallap and the Oasys suite (or equivalent).
