Key Responsibilities:
- Take a hands-on approach to managing rent accounts, implementing effective recovery strategies to reduce arrears and providing financial signposting to residents.
- Manage the full lifecycle of housing allocations, from identifying suitable applicants to conducting viewings and overseeing the sign-up process for new tenancies.
- Coordinate closely with maintenance teams to ensure a swift turnaround of vacant properties, minimising void periods and maximising rental income for the association.
- Handle day-to-day housing management issues, including neighbour disputes, safeguarding concerns, and ensuring compliance with all tenancy conditions.
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience using the housing IT system, OmniLedger (PyramidG2) for housing management, including rent accounting and data processing.
- Proven track record of working at a management level within an affordable housing provider.
- Has a deep understanding of the social housing sector.
- Extensive experience in directly managing rent arrears and the statutory requirements of housing allocations.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK housing legislation, including the Housing Act and current welfare reform impacts.
Desirable Requirements:
- Recent accreditation or membership with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).
