The role:
Campbell Grove Talent are looking for a hands-on Management Accountant to join an SME based at Thorpe Park in Leeds.
This is a broad role and you'll work closely with the Finance Director, getting involved in pretty much everything across the finance function.
You'll be close to the numbers, but you're not just producing reports and moving on to the next task.
You'll be expected to question things, spot where something could work better and have a say in how the finance function develops.
It's a role for someone who likes being involved and wants to see the impact of what they do.
What will you be doing?
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Looking after AP, AR, credit control and supplier payments
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Cash-flow forecasting
- Looking into variances and working out what's behind them
- Supporting year-end and working with the external accountants
- Improving processes and making things work more efficiently
- Working with people across the business to understand what is really driving the numbers
