We're helping them find a Senior Management Accountant to cover an initial 12-month fixed term contract with the view to go permanent for the right candidate.
This isn’t your average Senior Management Accountant role. The role:
- You’ll own the management accounts for the UK operation - full cycle, done properly.
- Preparing UK management accounts end-to-end.
- Journals, prepayments and accruals month end here is a process, not a panic.
- Support with process improvement projects to enhance the finance function.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Full P&L ownership.
- VAT returns.
- Building relationships with non-finance teams and getting under the skin of how the business works.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified accountant or someone close to completing their studies.
- Retail experience would be a real advantage here. This business moves fast and the numbers reflect that. If you’ve worked in retail finance before, you’ll get it immediately.
- Solid month end process experience, comfortable with complexity, and ready to roll your sleeves up when needed.
- You’ll need to be available to start ASAP.
Location: Predominantly on site in York, with some flexibility around hours and working from home. The office is worth turning up for. It’s a genuinely collaborative environment and people choose to be there, which tells you something.
