Looking to work for a company that understands you have a life outside of work? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! We're recruiting for an experienced Part-Time Purchase Ledger Administrator to join a Thirsk based business that genuinely walks the walk when it comes to flexibility and work-life balance. Got kids? A life outside of work? They get it, they embrace it, and they've built a working environment that reflects that. Their Finance Director has created a team culture that's supportive, switched-on, and refreshingly human. The people who thrive here are the ones who want to do great work without sacrificing everything else to do it.
This is a hands-on role where you'll own the purchase ledger end-to-end. You'll be the go-to person for suppliers and internal teams alike, keeping things accurate, moving, and under control across two ordering systems. This role is on-site - relationships and business understanding genuinely work better face to face here, but how you structure your 30 hours is completely up to you. Four full days, five shorter days to fit around school runs, whatever works. Working past 4:30 is almost unheard of here. You're trusted to manage your own time like an adult.
What your days will look like:
- Processing and registering supplier invoices
- Resolving queries - invoice issues, credit requests, purchase order problems
- Creating and reviewing payment runs
- Managing supplier statements, proformas, final demands, and copy invoices
- Producing accruals and prepayments from the external purchasing system
- Building real relationships with on-site teams, production managers, and senior stakeholders
You'll fit right in if you:
- Have solid purchase ledger experience and know your way around a finance system
- Are sharp with numbers and take real pride in getting things right
- Can juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball
- Work well independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Are the kind of person who sorts things out rather than waits to be told
If this sounds like something that would suit you, then please apply with your CV or contact Lucy Regan or Emma Dugdale for a confidential chat.
