Looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant role with genuinely broad exposure - across multiple entities, international trade, and real variety in the day-to-day? Campbell Grove Talent are working with a business everyone will have heard of, on the outskirts of Ossett, West Yorkshire, within the retail and distribution industry, who are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their finance team. You'll be working across three entities, which means no two months look the same.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the key Finance contact for international trade.
- Managing fixed assets and capital accounting, including reconciliation, reporting, and supporting the Financial Planning & Analysis team.
- Handling intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Managing lease accounting across all three entities, including car rental invoices, AP coding, and journal postings.
- Supporting with month end duties: accruals, prepayments, journals, bank recs, variance analysis and commentary.
- Supporting the Finance Manager on tax work and UK & Ireland statutory reporting as the main point of support.
- Providing documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- Getting involved in continuous improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
What you'll bring:
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or someone with strong experience behind them that is looking to start studying straight away.
- Experience with month-end processes and reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills.
- A high level of integrity and a confident communicator.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities.
This is a role for someone who likes variety, doesn't mind getting into the detail, and wants to broaden their all-round finance experience. We are looking to speak to people with at least 2 years solid month end experience. All other duties will have full training provided, so someone with an attitude to learn is essential.
