The Opportunity
Campbell Grove Talent are working on a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact finance leadership role at a pivotal moment with a business based close to Brighouse, that's ready to scale. Our client is searching for a driven and self-motivated Head of Finance, who can support the CFO to build a finance function from the ground up, shaping how the business reports, plans and grows. You'll report directly into an exceptional CFO, a genuine mentor who leads with clarity, invests in people, and creates real space for you to develop. This role is offered as a 4 or 5 day a week position to suit your life outside of work, with salary pro rata depending on hours worked.
The Head of Finance Role
- Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- VAT returns and compliance
- Statutory reporting and year-end accounts
- Board pack preparation, clear, insightful, decision-ready
- Managing and developing a Finance Assistant
- Supporting with due diligence and acquisition work
- Working closely with the CFO to support strategic financial planning
About You
- You'll be a well-rounded finance professional, comfortable moving between the detail and the bigger picture, a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with strong, demonstrable experience across the full finance remit.
- You'll thrive in environments where you can make a mark.
- Solid all-round technical accounting skills
- Experience producing management accounts, board packs and statutory reports
- A collaborative, hands-on mindset
- Strong communication skills, able to translate numbers into narrative
