We're searching for a Project Accountant to join their lean finance team, a hands-on finance role with a strong emphasis on project accounting, operational costs and revenue recognition.

Project Accountant Duties:

  • Monitoring and control of projects, ensuring project costs and revenue are correctly accounted for
  • R&D financial analysis including identifying what qualifies for claims and what doesn't
  • Month-end - supporting the close process and keeping projections sharp, reconciliations and commentary on variances
  • Process improvement - spotting inefficiencies and building better systems as the business scales
  • Business partnering with Project Managers, challenging effectively where necessary and explaining variances and highlighting risks
  • Forecasting and planning - focusing on cost planning, transfer price calculations and net working capital KPIs
  • Deputising for the Financial Controller as you develop into the role

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified or part qualified accountant
  • Tenacious, quick learner and a strong communicator
  • Strong Excel user
  • Experience using SAP would be helpful but not essential
  • Used to working in a complex environment
