Job Description
Ready to lead financial reporting that actually matters?
We’re looking for a qualified accountant who gets excited about turning numbers into stories that drive business decisions. This isn’t your typical “prepare month-end reports and hope for the best” role – you’ll be the person senior leaders turn to when they need to understand what’s really happening with the business.
What you’ll be doing
Lead a specialist team of 4 analysts across revenue, gross profit, and expenses, delivering the company’s monthly and annual reporting with insights that drive better decisions.
Your key responsibilities:
- Own month-end close and delivery of management accounts to tight deadlines
- Ensure 100% reconciliation of key P&L and balance sheet accounts
- Oversee revenue, gross profit, and expense analysis – identifying variances and key drivers
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable commentary for senior stakeholders
- Maintain audit-ready controls and lead the annual audit process
- Partner with external tax advisors and ensure compliance (UK GAAP & IFRS)
- Collaborate with FP&A and Commercial Finance teams to align actuals with forecasts
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives with IT teams
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience
- Financial reporting and team leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
Nice-to-haves:
- Tech, telecoms, or managed services sector experience
- Tax compliance and external advisor management
- Finance transformation or automation project involvement
- Investor reporting or private equity background
If you’re someone who wants to be more than just a number-cruncher – if you want to be the person who helps a growing business understand its performance and make smarter decisions – this could be perfect.
