Four days a week. A business on the up. Real ownership from day one. Campbell Grove Talent are partnering with an exciting, fast-growing company based in Halifax that has recently secured funding and is now ready to build a finance function that keeps pace with their ambition. This is where you come in.
This is a hands-on finance role for someone who wants to get their teeth into something meaningful, without it taking over their life. Four days a week means you've got time for the things that matter outside of work too, whether that's family, hobbies, or just actually switching off on a Friday.
The Role:
- You'll be the go-to numbers person in the business, sitting close to the leadership team, owning the numbers and making sure the financial foundations are as strong as the growth story.
- Management accounts, budgets, forecasts, VAT returns - the full picture.
- There's a small amount of transactional finance in the mix too. The business is at that brilliant, slightly chaotic stage where everyone chips in.
- It won't be that way forever, and you'll have a say in how the finance function develops as the team grows.
- This is the kind of role where you can walk in on Monday, make a decision, and see what happens because of it.
What you'll be doing:
- Producing monthly management accounts and owning financial reporting.
- Supporting the SLT with structuring how finance should look moving forward including process and system improvement work.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- VAT returns and keeping HMRC happy.
- Rolling your sleeves up on transactional finance when needed.
- Being a genuine partner to the leadership team, not just the person who sends the numbers over.
- Helping shape what the finance function looks like as the business scales.
What we're looking for:
- A qualified or qualified by experience accountant.
- Comfortable being a senior finance person in the room without a big team around you.
- At home in an SME or fast-growth environment; experience working for a PE backed business would be a real advantage but not essential.
- Genuinely excited by a business with real momentum behind it.
- Looking for a role that works around your life, not the other way around.
Salary advertised is FTE, so this will be pro rata to the 4 days advertised. If this sounds like you, then please apply with your CV or contact Lucy Regan or Emma Dugdale for further information.
