Are you a commercially minded yet hands-on finance professional ready to make a real impact? Campbell Grove Talent are partnering with a fast-growing, innovation-led SME based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, in their search for a Financial Controller. This newly created role will work for a business that is proud of their enviable client portfolio and ambitious plans for the future. This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal finance leadership role at the heart of a business that genuinely does things differently.
The Role:
This is a true all-round Financial Controller position. Hands-on, broad, and genuinely varied. You'll own the finance function end-to-end while also playing a key role in helping to shape the strategic direction of the business as a close partner to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Full ownership of management accounts, reporting, and month-end close
- Cash flow management, forecasting, and budgeting
- Hands-on with the day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, and payroll
- Producing insightful MI to support commercial decision-making
- Working closely with the SLT and contributing to business strategy
- Driving process improvement and finance system development
- Statutory reporting and liaison with external auditors and advisors
What we're looking for:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in an all-round finance position
- Happy to be hands-on, no task is too small, no challenge too big
- Strong commercial acumen with a genuine interest in the wider business
- A confident communicator, comfortable presenting at senior level
