(Initial 3-6 months with potential of longer term/permanent) We are supporting a well-funded, independent philanthropic foundation to hire a CTO to help shape and build the next phase of their development as they look to utilise data, visualisation and AI to better understand systems change, impact and decision-making. This is not a traditional corporate IT role. It is an opportunity to build from the ground up: aligning data, insight, knowledge and technology into a more coherent platform that helps an organisation learn faster, connect signals better, and make sharper decisions.
So this is not just about running engineering. It is for someone who gets excited by creating a data/AI capability that helps an organisation understand whether its work is genuinely shifting systems. In other words, someone interested and experienced in using data, AI and visualisation to make sense of complexity, improve judgement, and help a team learn where it is truly driving impact.
Key Experience- Have recent Startup/Series A/scale-up CTO experience
- Enjoy being hands-on and building solutions yourself
- Get excited by data, dashboards, AI and institutional learning
- Can shape architecture, teams and roadmap from ambiguity
- Are interested in building a data analytics capability, with scope to develop external partnerships including universities / researchers / PhDs
The initial mandate is interim but with clear potential to become permanent.
