We’re partnering with a scaling, private equity-backed consulting business who have ambitious growth plans. You will take ownership of key financial processes including management accounting, financial reporting, audit preparation, and group consolidations, while also supporting wider strategic initiatives such as acquisitions and due diligence activity. The successful candidate will thrive in a scaling business, bring strong technical accounting expertise, and have prior experience within a people-led or services-based organisation. This is a six-month contract initially and could have permanent potential.
Responsibilities:- Preparation of monthly management accounts with insightful commentary and analysis
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Supporting the delivery of the company’s first external audit, including coordination with auditors and preparation of audit schedules
- Preparation of statutory accounts and financial reporting requirements
- Assisting with group consolidations across multiple entities
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting processes
- Driving improvements in financial controls, processes, and reporting accuracy
- Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business to provide commercial financial insight
- Supporting acquisition activity, including financial due diligence
- Fully qualified accountant - ACA or ACCA
- Experience working within a people-based (time and project-based business) e.g. consulting, creative, legal etc.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience across both management and financial accounting
- Previous experience of managing or supporting an audit
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Immediately available or on short notice
- 6 month contract
- Salary - £60,000-70,000
- Hybrid or remote first with occasional office visits
