Campbell Brown Associates is an industry-leading, award-winning creative advertising agency looking for an experienced Management Accountant. You will be responsible for managing the month-end and producing the monthly management accounts, while delivering relevant management information and providing some commercial support to Account Services. Reporting to the Finance Director and working alongside the Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for running the month-end process, statutory accounting, budgeting & forecasting, implementing new financial controls and dealing with auditors.
Responsibilities
- Management of month-end process including:
- Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and board pack for the Board of Directors;
- Preparing cash flows and managing cash balances;
- Management, compliance and overall responsibility for VAT returns;
- Provide accurate, relevant and timely MI to the Board and Account Services to ensure that areas of the business under their control can be properly managed;
- Take ownership and review the Management Reporting pack of business performance data, including comparison of actual results against plan and previous year, together with commentary, revenue recognition and Key Performance Indicators;
- Assisting with the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting process;
- Production of the annual statutory accounts and internal financial reports;
- Liaising with external auditors regarding the year-end audit and sign off for statutory accounts;
- Systems development: review, devise and implement changes to the accounting software and produce MI that can be used to aid decision making.
Qualifications & Experience
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or studying;
- 3 years+ experience in a similar role;
- Previous Marketing/Advertising industry experience and an understanding of revenue recognition and WIP management is highly desirable;
- Excellent communication skills - a fun, outgoing and confident personality with the ability to work with and influence colleagues of all levels is vital.
