Are you a data-driven Finance Analyst who loves bridging the gap between numbers and strategy? We’re partnering with an acquisitive, investor backed marketing group, looking to develop their Power BI tools and commercial insights. As Finance Analyst, you will sit at the heart of the group function supporting the Commercial Director and business heads. You will be the owner of their Power BI tool, bridging the gap between the data team, finance and business leads sharing useful and invaluable insights.
Responsibilities
- Power BI Mastery: Maintain, develop, and optimise group-wide Power BI dashboards, ensuring data integrity and streamline automated reporting.
- Commercial Insights: Analysing KPIs across various international agencies to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in revenue and margin performance.
- Monthly Reporting: Support regular financial reporting cycles, including month-end, annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Business Partnering: Act as a key group finance contact for Department Heads and Agency Leads, helping them understand their "numbers" to improve operational efficiency.
- Data Quality and Maintenance: Working with the data team, assess data quality and completeness and develop an understanding of how existing systems flow into the data lake to output to Power BI, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support M&A integration and the build out of Power BI tools to suit their requirements.
Required Experience
- Fully qualified or studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
- Proven experience creating reports in Power BI.
- DAX and PowerQuery proficiency.
- An impeccable communicator that’s able to explain financial concepts to creatives and non-financial stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Prior experience in a finance analyst role is essential – we’re looking for an accountant who’s a Power BI whizz rather than a Data Analyst.
