The Glen Grant is a world renowned Speyside distillery since 1840, and part of Campari Group since 2006. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead the operations of The Glen Grant Visitor Centre, currently under renovations and slated to re-open in April ’26. The Manager of The Glen Grant Visitor Centre ("VC Manager") will oversee all aspects of the Visitor Centre and deliver an exceptional guest experience that showcases the distillery’s history and whisky making excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operations & Team Leadership: Oversee daily activities of the Visitor Centre, ensuring seamless delivery of tours, tastings, retail shop operations and bar service. Build, coach and develop a motivated team alongside the Senior Supervisor and Supervisor.
- Commercial & Financial: Manage the P&L, driving revenues from tours, retail and bar, and deliver on key financial KPIs. Identify opportunities to increase spend per visitor, conversion in retail and premium experience uptake.
- Guest Experience & Brand Storytelling: Guarantee that Glen Grant’s heritage, Single Malt production and brand values are authentically conveyed at every step of the guest journey.
- Brand Events: Support global brand team in the planning and execution of The Glen Grant’s own impactful events and activations at the Visitor Centre.
- Health & Safety, Compliance & Group Standards: Own the implementation and diligent management of all Health & Safety requirements and ensure strict compliance with Campari Group and The Glen Grant Ltd policies.
- Reporting & Governance: Maintain regular operational and financial reporting to the Global Brand Homes Director.
- Local Community & Ecosystem: Act as an ambassador for The Glen Grant, nurturing relationships with local tourism bodies, hospitality partners and community stakeholders.
Role structure
- Role Reporting: The VC Manager will report to the Global Brand Homes Director.
- Direct Team: The VC Manager will have a team of 4 people on site: Senior Supervisor, Supervisor, 2 VC Guides.
Education / Professional qualifications
- University Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing hospitality.
Key competences and traits
- In-depth knowledge of Speyside, local tourism flows, and the Single Malt Whisky category.
- Proven track record in managing hospitality or premium retail operations.
- Strong leadership, people development and daily coaching capabilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; fluent English.
- Financial acumen to manage budgets and deliver on commercial targets.
- Natural storyteller, passionate about creating memorable brand experiences.
- Rigorous approach to Health & Safety, compliance and policy adherence.
