Our volunteer‑led charity is dedicated to exposing and countering antisemitism through education and zero‑tolerance enforcement of the law.

We raise awareness through front‑page media campaigns and major outreach events such as the March Against Antisemitism.

The Role

The full‑time Senior Communications and Research Officer reports to the Chief Communications Officer, working to help inform the public about antisemitism using a variety of media.

You will be joining our small, fast‑paced, entrepreneurial staff team based at our office in central London.

The role brings a diverse set of responsibilities and an opportunity to work within a charitable organisation with a strong sense of purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Write journalistic‑quality articles about antisemitism, from crime to politics.
  • Cultivate media relationships and provide information and research to journalists in real‑time.
  • Compose posts for our numerous social media channels.
  • Draft accessible content for videos, working with our Creative team to create final products for our online audience.
  • Help conceive innovative campaigns to raise awareness of antisemitism and educate the public.
  • Submit complaints to media broadcasters, regulators and others when outlets fail to meet their editorial standards.
  • Correspond with members of the public who write in to us.
  • Work with our academic volunteers and pollsters to help explain the nature of antisemitism in Britain, including trends and strategies for addressing it.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for the wider Communications team, including volunteers, ensuring that external queries are resolved promptly.
  • Support units across our organisation in the preparation of materials relevant to their areas of work that conform to our house style and brand.
  • Report to the Chief Communications Officer and work with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

  • Ability to prioritise, analyse and respond quickly.
  • Some understanding of the history and current diverse manifestations of antisemitism.
  • Eagerness to build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and other stakeholders.

  • Passionate about CAA’s mission and making a difference within a team.
  • Minimum of three years’ proven track record of writing or editing SEO‑friendly content, preferably in a fast‑paced environment or other relevant experience.
