The Role

As Camp Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the smooth running of a holiday camp based at St Michael’s Preparatory School, Otford. You’ll lead and motivate a team of staff, oversee daily activities, and be the key point of contact for parents, staff, and senior management. You’ll play a vital role in:

  • Leading a team to deliver engaging sports, games, and creative activities
  • Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children
  • Managing day‑to‑day camp operations and routines
  • Communicating confidently with parents and colleagues
  • Supporting and developing your team throughout the camp season

About You

We’re looking for someone energetic, organised, and passionate about working with children. You will have:

  • Experience working in a childcare setting
  • Experience managing or supporting a small team
  • A Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent: QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or working towards one)
  • Strong safeguarding awareness
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach and lots of enthusiasm
  • The ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure
  • Paediatric First Aid (training can be provided)
