Overview
Camp Beaumont is looking for a proactive and detail-focused Management Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover) to join our finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you\’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations and the timely preparation of management accounts, helping us make informed decisions across our UK holiday camps and activity businesses.
Hours: 37.5
Closing Date: Ongoing
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover (approx. 9-12 months)
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Posting and reconciling journals, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Preparing financial reports and supporting documentation
- Providing support during internal and external audits
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve financial queries
- Carrying out general administrative tasks to support the finance team
What We\’re Looking For
- AAT qualified or currently studying ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting processes
- Confident user of Excel and accounting software, preferably Xero
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team
- Self-motivated and able to manage deadlines independently
