Human Resources Advisor ER Fixed Term Contract 6 months – Cammell Laird
Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for Employee Relations? Do you have a strong track record of managing complex ER cases and handling high workloads? If youre immediately and looking for a 6 month contract this might be the role for you.
We are looking for an Employee Relations (ER) HR Professional to join our newly formed team who are experiencing a period of high demand who can hit the ground running and take ownership of a backlog of ER cases.
This is a temporary position (6 months), and we need someone now!
So who are we?
Known across the globe at our Birkenhead facility, on the banks of the River Mersey we expand across 130 acres which includes four dry docks, a large modular construction hall and extensive covered workshops.
Weve played a strategic role in UK shipbuilding for the past 200 years, repairing, maintaining and building ships and other vessels.
And what will you do?
Manage and resolve a backlog of ER cases, ensuring timely resolutions
Provide advice to managers on handling disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes
Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues while maintaining compliance with UK employment law
Support the HR team in positively closing off legally-compliant cases where both the business and the employees are advised, informed and up to date.
And what we looking for?
CIPD Level 5 Human Resources Certificate
HR generalist background, fully conversant with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice
Experience working closely with Trade Unions
Ability to communicate at all levels of the business and motivated to improve existing working practices
A self-starter, using own initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision, able to prioritise and work within timescales
A full UK Driving Licence will be useful due to the size of the facility
