Our client, a leading global provider of specialist offshore containers and integrated services is currently seeking a Test Engineer Level 2 to join their Aberdeen team on a permanent (staff) basis.

ROLE

The purpose of the role is to carry out the Return Inspection, Testing and Recertification of company and customer owned CCU’s and lifting equipment in accordance with company Quality Assurance and Safety Management systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Return Inspections on tanks, containers, baskets, skips and lifting equipment.
  • Visually inspect lifting equipment as well as CCU’s; tanks, containers, lifting slings and shackles.
  • Remove damaged slings and shackles from CCU’s and fit replacements.
  • Carry out goods receipt inspection on slings and shackles and store them on racks.
  • Complete daily records of equipment inspected and tested and prepare NDT reports.
  • Carry out NDT testing of lifting lug welds using MPI techniques.
  • Undertake minor repairs, maintenance and aesthetics improvements.
  • Update completed Inspections using company handheld device.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong work ethic.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good level of fitness as this job is labour intensive.
  • MT SNT Level II qualification.
  • Working knowledge of standards: DNV2.7-1, DNV2.7-3, EN12079.
