Our client, based in Aberdeen is currently recruiting a Project Planner. The position is offered on a contract basis through to the end of 2026. The role also offers the flexibility of hybrid working.
ROLE
The Project Planner will be part of the Project Controls Team and report to the Lead Project Planner and the Project Controls Manager. The Project Planner will have an important role within the Team and will support both Carry Over Work Planning and Commissioning planning for the final stage of the project including Ready for Start-up. This role will be an integral part of the Project Team, working collaboratively within the Project and the PDE organizations, systems, procedures, and methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining processes, systems and resources for the FPSO according to the defined Planning Management in the project.
- Work closely with Completions and Commissioning Managers to ensure alignment of related interface activities for all disciplines on plans and progress.
- Ensure the plan is logically linked and reflects the correct sequence to meet the Project Priority Milestones.
- Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the integrated Project schedule supporting the Lead Project Planner.
- Ensure that all necessary information to execute commissioning and start-up is identified within the schedule.
- Ensure that the completion system (PIMS) has the necessary data available to execute system and sub-system testing according to Commissioning schedule.
- Responsible for all planning and progress reporting for completion of the FPSO.
- Secure organized coordination within the planning discipline towards the completions and commissioning teams actively using and interfacing with PIMs Completion system.
- Monitor planning requirements described in the contract are followed up and delivered on.
- Main Tasks: Completions/Carry Over Work integrated with Commissioning Project Schedule, Progress Reporting, Schedule Analysis, Progress measurement and trending, Interface schedule and mini plans, Baseline update, Progress verification and spot check with contractors.
- Participate in the process to establish a logic network, budgeting and time scheduling as basis for planning and management of activities.
- Close cooperation with Project Controls Team.
- Monitor all remaining activities together with the Lead Project Planner.
- Participate in review of previous lessons learned and the incorporation of relevant lessons learned into Project Completions planning.
- Support the project with automated reporting as far as possible.
- Participate and run progress meetings as required to support the daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
- Work with PDE operations team as well as client to ensure clear guidance and clarifications are provided with regards to scope of work definition.
- Report any delays in progress immediately when discovered.
- Collaborate closely with other key disciplines i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Contracts and Governance and incorporate activities at the appropriate level.
- Other duties as required by the Lead Project Planner and Project Controls Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical education on Bachelor level or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a Planner within larger development projects is essential.
- Recent experience of working in a similar role on UK North Sea projects.
- Experience in FPSO redeployment is an advantage.
- Experience of using Primavera is essential.
- Use of PIMs or other project completions software desired.
- Organized, Systematic.
