We are currently seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator for container work based in Aberdeen. This is a temporary ongoing position offering a 40-hour working week, with an immediate start available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out repairs to offshore CCUs and tanks
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCUs
  • Carry out visual inspection on all CCUs
  • Perform cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work to a high standard of workmanship
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Work to tight deadlines in a safe and accurate manner
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a diligent and safe manner

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior welding experience
  • Certified to carry out Secondary Structure Fillet Welds (EPD016)
  • Basic fabrication experience
  • Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7-1
