Our Aberdeen based client is currently seeking an experienced buyer to join their team. The role will be on a permanent (staff) basis and will be fully office based. The Buyer is responsible for the end-to-end procurement of materials and services to support project delivery and operational requirements. The role focuses on ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery, and strong supplier performance while maintaining compliance with company procedures and project specifications.
- Procurement & Sourcing: Source and procure materials efficiently and cost-effectively; Negotiate pricing and commercial terms; Monitor supplier performance and expedite deliveries.
- Project & Stakeholder Support: Attend project kick-off meetings; Provide procurement updates; Represent supply chain at meetings; Maintain procurement trackers.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement: Manage multiple projects simultaneously; Improve supplier performance and reduce costs; Support training and development; Develop procurement knowledge and skills; Complete relevant training to progress as a Buyer.
Experience in procurement or supply chain; Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
