Cammach is partnering with an Established Engineering client based in Aberdeenshire currently searching for permanent Lead Workshop Engineer / Technician. The role would be ideal for candidates who have worked with oilfield service equipment or diesel engine backgrounds. The position offers a competitive salary but also is open to individuals who may be on higher to ensure they capture the right person. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Executing refurbishments, mechanical maintenance, repairs, new build manufacturing projects and workshop operations.
- Delivery of mechanical repair, maintenance, and overhaul activities within the workshop on oilfield topside equipment.
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing effective engineering solutions.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, manuals, and technical specifications.
- Leading projects and ensuring work is completed to required standards.
- Planning and coordinating daily workshop jobs to meet operational deadlines.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and technical reports.
Requirements:
- Time served or degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a workshop or maintenance engineering environment.
- Experience working onsite, overseas and offshore is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of oil field equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
Support with project meetings and liaise with clients, 3rd party contractors and staff from the AS Norway office to drive projects forward to a high standard.
