Cammach is partnering with an Established Engineering client based in Aberdeenshire currently searching for permanent Lead Workshop Engineer / Technician. The role would be ideal for candidates who have worked with oilfield service equipment or diesel engine backgrounds. The position offers a competitive salary but also is open to individuals who may be on higher to ensure they capture the right person. ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing refurbishments, mechanical maintenance, repairs, new build manufacturing projects and workshop operations. This is a workshop-based role but not limited to.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivery of mechanical repair, maintenance, and overhaul activities within the workshop on oilfield topside equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective engineering solutions
- Interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical specifications
- Lead projects and ensure work is completed to required standards
- Plan and coordinate your own daily workshop jobs to meet operational deadlines
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical reports
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- Time served or degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in a workshop or maintenance engineering environment
- Experience working onsite, overseas and offshore is an advantage
- Ownership of projects
- Strong knowledge of oil field equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and work hands-on within a team or individually
- Support with project meetings and liaise with clients, 3rd party contractors and staff from the AS Norway office to drive projects forward to a high standard
- Good communication and leadership mindset focus
- Can do attitude
