WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY

Camlin has an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Project Management Team who are responsible for managing a variety of project types including new product development / implementation and business initiatives. Camlin are at the cutting edge of new product development and the scope of work being managed is significant, interesting and rewarding. Camlin are growing which is resulting in various internal projects being run to help the business develop.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting project managers with a variety of activities including:
    • Project planning and scheduling.
    • Management of project delivery activities.
    • Project huddles and monthly senior reviews.
    • Project reporting and presentations.
    • Project governance reviews.
    • Help support the administration of Camlin's Project Management Platform (Cora).
    • Take part in the Project Management Teams on-going continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Undertake any other duties that are required to ensure the smooth operation of the Project Management function.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A positive, can-do attitude, keen to learn and develop industry and product knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential qualifications

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of people.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Confident using common tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.

Desirable qualifications

  • Placement year or internship experience in engineering, manufacturing, IT or a business environment.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles such as planning, risks, dependencies and milestones.
  • Awareness of project frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall or PRINCE2.
  • Interest in pursuing a formal project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM.
