Position: Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager (HSE Manager)
Job Summary: As Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager (HSE) you will play a pivotal role within Camlin, focusing on the governance of practices, policies, and procedures aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and the protection of the environment. Camlin\’s HSE system is critical in fostering a sustainable working environment, minimising risks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, which vary across the regions in which we operate. In this exciting Lisburn based role, you will be developing, implementing, and overseeing the various components of HSE within Camlin, striving to create a hazard-free workplace across multiple sites including product installation in the field.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to and are continuously improved.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of workplace incidents, inspections, and training activities.
- Collaborate with management across various sites to establish safety goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety and environmental programs.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to address safety and environmental issues.
- Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting.
- Improve emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor\’s degree in occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
- Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of successfully managing safety and environmental programs.
- Ability to analyse complex data and produce actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
