At Camlin we believe in high quality engineering and design, allowing us to develop market leading products and services. What To Expect Day To Day: As a UX Designer on our team, your day will often begin with a stand-up meeting where you’ll sync with Product Owners, Product Management, Developers, and QA to align on priorities and progress. You’ll then dive into Figma to iterate on wireframes, prototypes, or high-fidelity designs—often based on user stories or feedback from stakeholders. You’ll work closely with Product Owners to break down epics into actionable design tasks and phases to help shape the product backlog with clear, user-focused requirements.
You’ll spend time reviewing and refining user journeys, ensuring that each interaction is intuitive and aligned with user needs. You may run quick usability tests or review analytics to validate design decisions. Collaboration is key, so expect to join design reviews, backlog grooming sessions, and sprint planning meetings to ensure your work is well-integrated into the development cycle. You’ll also liaise with developers to ensure your designs are feasible and implemented accurately. This might involve reviewing front-end builds, providing design specs, or updating components in the design system. You’ll be a key voice in maintaining consistency and quality across the product.
Throughout the week, you’ll contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring it scales with the product and supports rapid iteration. You’ll also help document design decisions and contribute to shared knowledge bases to support team alignment. Finally, you’ll be a champion for the user—bringing empathy, insight, and creativity to every stage of the product lifecycle. Whether it’s refining a micro-interaction or rethinking a workflow, your work will help shape a product that users love to use.
What You Will Need To Succeed: A strong portfolio demonstrating UX design for SaaS or B2B products, ideally in a data driven organisation and Industrial Sector. Proven experience working closely with Product Owners and Developers in agile teams. Ability to break down complex requirements into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate across disciplines. A user-first mindset with a strong grasp of usability, accessibility, and responsive design. Contribute to the strategic development and governance of the design system and component library to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across all products. Use research insights and cross product analysis to evolve components, patterns, and UI standards within the design system. Conduct structured or lightweight user research to inform discovery, prioritisation, and product direction. Lead or contribute to the development and validation of user personas and archetypes to ensure the product direction is grounded in real user needs. Synthesize insights from interviews, analytics, customer feedback, and field observations into clear problem statements that guide product decisions. Shape and frame problem spaces before solutioning begins, supporting early discovery and alignment with Product Management. Collaborate with Product Management to define user needs, value propositions, and prioritisation criteria for roadmap planning.
Essential Criteria: Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related technical field, equivalent work experience will be considered. 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, ideally in SaaS or enterprise environments. Proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and design collaboration. Experience contributing to and maintaining a product backlog. Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and agile methodologies. Ability to translate business and user needs into elegant, functional interfaces.
Desirable: Familiarity with Plotly and PrimeVue to align design with front-end implementation. Experience with design systems and component libraries. Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG). Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript to communicate effectively with developers. Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Mural or similar for agile collaboration. Background in user research, usability testing, or data-informed design.
What We Look For: We’re looking for a UX Designer who thrives in a collaborative, agile environment and is passionate about creating intuitive, user-centred digital experiences. You’ll be joining a cross-functional product team working on a new SaaS-based platform, where your design expertise will directly shape the product’s usability and customer satisfaction. A key focus of this role is to support the creation and refinement of the product backlog, ensuring the development team has clear, actionable design inputs to build against.
Our Values: We work together. We believe in people. We won’t accept the ‘way it has always been done’. We listen to learn. We’re trying to do the right thing.
Benefits: Competitive salary, Company Pension & Life Assurance Schemes, Flexible / Smart Working, Wellness programmes, On-site parking.
