Role Overview: We are seeking a university placement student to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing comprehensive technical specification documents and checklists.
• Designing bespoke mechanically sound components, including hydraulic flange fittings.
• Collecting project requirements and understanding customer needs and preferences; serving as a specialised point of contact for customer inquiries regarding our HV products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and detailed engineering drawings for customer projects.
• Develop and maintain technical specification documents and checklists.
• Ensure all designs, such as hydraulic flange fittings, meet mechanical integrity and safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other departments to ensure project requirements are met.
• Support the implementation of HV monitoring solutions by providing technical expertise; assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues related to project designs.

Qualifications:

• Experience with CAD software packages (Solid-Edge preferably) including creating 2D technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
