About Us: Join our dynamic GSD HQ regional team in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. We are a highly skilled and dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality, efficient high voltage monitoring solutions and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
Role Overview: We are seeking a university placement student to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing comprehensive technical specification documents and checklists.
- Designing bespoke mechanically sound components, including hydraulic flange fittings.
- Collecting project requirements and understanding customer needs and preferences; serving as a specialised point of contact for customer inquiries regarding our HV products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and detailed engineering drawings for customer projects.
- Develop and maintain technical specification documents and checklists.
- Ensure all designs, such as hydraulic flange fittings, meet mechanical integrity and safety standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and other departments to ensure project requirements are met.
- Support the implementation of HV monitoring solutions by providing technical expertise; assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues related to project designs.
Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD software packages (Solid-Edge preferably) including creating 2D technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
