Purpose of the role

The Group Product Manager is responsible for owning the commercial success and strategic direction of assigned products across their lifecycle. This role acts as the voice of the Customer within the organisation, translating market insight into winning product strategies, while business partnering closely with Creative, Technical, Sales and Marketing, and cross-functional teams to drive growth, profitability, and customer value globally.

The Day-to-Day Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Use Strategic Framework tools to assess the Total Assessable Market, Serviceable Assessable Market and the Serviceable Obtainable Market for relevant sectors and geographies.
  • Gather and blend market, customer, and competitive insights to inform product decisions.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking to assess opportunities, risks, and performance trends.
  • Anticipate future customer needs and translate them into product innovation and differentiation.

Customer & Commercial Ownership

  • As part of the Key Account Management Strategy, visit Key Strategic Customers, engage with their Product Management and Creative teams to understand their direction of travel and translate the insight into product solutions.
  • Act as a Customer advocate, applying deep customer empathy in all product decisions.
  • Validate the commercial performance of the product portfolio, including revenue, margin, and lifecycle profitability.
  • Feed into and influence the pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with value proposition, market dynamics, and financial targets.
  • Partner with Finance to track business cases, margins, and post-launch performance.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Ensure product portfolio reflects and reinforces Camira’s brand pillars (Made by Camira, Experts in Sustainability, Experts in Colour & Design, Experts in Innovation).
  • Partner with Marketing to define category positioning and differentiation.
  • Lead the validation of NPI, together with influencing the prioritisation of NPI to market, and subsequently support the drive of NPI process from concept through to launch.
  • Work closely with Creative and the Product Evolution and Compliance teams to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.
  • Develop clear go-to-market plans, including working with Marketing to position and launch and partner with Sales to support carding, specification and drive adoptions.
  • Validate the success of NPI launches via Market and Customer feedback, coupled with Competitor challenges as part of cross functional post-launch reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Key Account Managers to understand strategic customer requirements and translate them into product solutions.
  • Partner with Sales teams globally to support customer engagement, value propositions, and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on messaging, campaigns, and enablement tools.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability, lifecycle planning, and operational feasibility.
  • Influence the rationalisation of SKU’s and updating of ranges aligned to market relevance.

Forecasting & Demand Planning

  • Be strategically involved in forecasting and demand planning, contributing market intelligence and customer insight.
  • Align demand forecasts with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to support efficient planning and execution.
