Purpose of the role To prepare warp beams to the correct specifications and quality, for use in the production of woven fabrics. To allow the manufacturing team to deliver fabrics on time for customer requirements. The day to day To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements Ensure all production schedules are set up and warped to the correct specification, design and quality to meet customer requirements. Ensure production plans are followed to meet customer expectations and critical lead times. Identify, and respond to material issues, rectifying them in a timely manner. Report material defects to the team leader or a member of the Quality Assurance team. Ensure products are warped using the correct materials and to the correct standard to allow fabrics to be woven correctly and of the highest quality. Adapt to the planboard to increase efficiencies Take ownership of the products warped by you Confidently warp on all three Karl Mayer warping frames To be able to calculate measured lengths for custom made jobs To work closely with the Creeling team to aid the efficiency of the warping frame Other Considerations Experience of woven textiles. Knowledge and experience of different warping machines and warping methods. Experience of warping plans and patterns. The capability to warp, creel and beam. Understanding, knowledge and experience of warping machine set ups. C apability to recognise material fault types and rectify them.
