About our company Camira are a multi-award-winning textile manufacturer with two centuries of heritage and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability. Camira designs and manufactures environmental fabrics for the commercial, public transport and residential sectors.
Purpose of the role
To develop and grow the Transport business in the UK and Ireland by utilising strategic marketing and promotion of the brand. To help Camira achieve its Vision 2030 goal of building a leading position in UK & Ireland with turnover of £6.5m.
The day to day
- To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements.
- Deliver annual sales, GSM and NSM targets for the region while growing volumes and product range within existing accounts.
- Build Camira's presence as the preferred textile partner by promoting products, providing samples/marketing materials, and engaging with operators, OEMs, designers, and manufacturers.
- Actively manage a live project pipeline from early specification to contract award, identifying major projects, securing specifications, and tracking status, value, profitability and timing through CRM tools.
- Acquire new business, seek out market opportunities, maintain strong customer relationships, and negotiate contracts and price increases to maximise margin.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and customer activity, using data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps and competitor insights.
Other Considerations
- Strong organisational, time-management, and communication skills, with confidence using CRM systems and digital reporting tools.
- Commercially curious with the ability to understand customer business models, support planning and forecasting, and manage core administrative and reporting activities.
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to develop within the Transport sales function, demonstrating sound commercial judgement and effective problem-solving.
- Skilled at building trusted relationships internally and externally, showing professionalism, ethics, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Full Drivers licence.
- Valid Passport (Due to the nature of the role, traveling abroad is occasionally required).
