Purpose of the roleContinuously drive customer excellence by providing strong support and leadership for one of the Warehouse shifts. Ensuring that goods are received, stored, picked packed and dispatched safely, accurately and efficiently to meet customer deadlines.
The day to dayTo adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirementsAllocate workloads and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within required deadlines.
Be responsible for workforce planning and holiday / absence cover.
Be the conduit between the warehouse staff and the Head of Group planning and warehousingDevelop a positive improvement plan, which is measurable and achievable.
Monitor picking, packing and dispatch operations, allocating workloads to ensure tasks are completed efficiently within deadlines to meet customer requirements.
Mould a high performing, multi skilled and flexible team culture by training and coaching warehouse staff, helping to develop a positive and productive team environment. Understand, adhere to, and consistently and fairly apply HR policies and procedures taking a candid and timely approach to dealing with challenging situations.
Manage costs within the department by purchasing from suitable suppliers and negotiating with them to reduce spend.
Operate and oversee the safe use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling equipment where applicable.
Support the Stock and Systems Coordinator to ensure cyclical stocktakes are carried out and that stock accuracy continues to improve.
Oversee documented departmental observations to ensure the area is safe, secure and maintained to a high standard of housekeeping .Develop key performance indicators relating to throughput, labour utilisation, WMS accuracy, base hours to overtime hours etcOther ConsiderationsPhysically fit as heavy lifting is involved.
Experience using a Warehouse Management System or ERP systemCurrent Forklift / VNA certification.
Experience working in a fast-paced distribution, manufacturing or e-commerce environment. Ability to work under pressure.
Available to work a rotating early and late shift patternStrong Excel and analytical capability.
