This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments and enjoys working closely with founders, investors, and operational teams.
As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the business and ensuring the organisation has the insight, discipline, and reporting needed to scale effectively. You will partner with senior leadership and act as the primary financial contact for our VC investors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all financial reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful information for both internal stakeholders and the venture capital fund.
- Develop and enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks to support a scaling software business.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, providing clear analysis and recommendations.
- Work closely with the CEO, COO, and department heads to align financial strategy with key commercial and strategic objectives.
- Prepare board packs, investor updates, and performance dashboards.
- Support scenario modelling, pricing strategy, and investment decisions.
- Oversee cashflow management and ensure the business maintains strong financial discipline.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance function (internal team or outsourced providers).
- Proven track record as a Finance Director or senior finance leader within a software, SaaS, or technology-led business.
- Experience working with venture capital or private equity investors.
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a part-time capacity while still driving meaningful impact.
