We are partnered with a Private Equity backed technology business who are setting up a nearshore operations centre in Europe. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, encompassing the design, build, and scale-up of nearshore delivery centres. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, optimise costs, enhance productivity, and foster innovation across global engineering, product development, cloud/infrastructure management and professional services teams. This is a unique opportunity to lead a cross-functional transformation programme while potentially running a nearshore facility, influencing both strategy and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and scale-up of nearshoring and offshoring centres, supporting growth from build to run mode.
- Manage and optimise centres up to 250+ people in a combined setup.
- Drive full lifecycle transformation across organisation, people, processes, systems, and tools.
- Lead change management and stakeholder engagement across multiple geographies and functions.
- Oversee large, cross-functional teams with strong people management capabilities.
- Foster collaboration between product development, engineering, and professional services teams globally.
- Innovate and implement AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost optimisation.
- Ensure seamless integration of nearshore and offshore operations with existing organisational structures.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to senior managers and team leads within the delivery centres.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in both nearshoring and offshoring, ideally in a combined setup.
- A background in Software Engineering / Development.
- Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling delivery centres.
- Cross-functional knowledge across organisation/people, processes (full SDLC), systems, and tools.
- Strong transformational leadership, including change management and stakeholder management.
- Extensive experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to drive innovation, particularly leveraging AI for operational efficiencies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration across geographies and functions.
- Strategic thinker with operational execution capabilities.
