The Role
Ownership of management accounting for a standalone UK entity
Month-end close, balance sheet control and variance analysis
Active involvement in audits, working closely with senior finance leadership
Supporting statutory reporting and financial controls
Exposure to group activity following recent acquisitions
The Ideal Background
Strong core accounting fundamentals are essential
Audit experience preferred (practice or internal), with confidence supporting audit processes
Part-qualified ACCA (exams-based rather than degree-only) or AAT Level 4 considered
Industry background not essential
Contractor payroll experience is a nice-to-have (e.g. recruitment or project-led environments)
