A rapidly scaling, investor-backed AI Software business is seeking an Interim Finance Director to provide leadership across the finance function during a maternity leave period. This is a key role within a fast-moving, evolving organisation, supporting continued growth, increasing operational complexity, and the build-out of more scalable financial processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading month-end close, reporting and financial control
- Owning budgeting, forecasting and wider FP&A activities
- Developing robust reporting and governance as the business scales
- Partnering closely with senior leadership on commercial planning
- Supporting investor communications and strategic decision-making
- Providing interim oversight across adjacent operational areas including people and legal functions as needed
Candidate profile:
- Proven experience operating at Finance Director level within a scaling business (ideally series A or B)
- Strong multi-entity reporting and hands-on financial leadership
- Comfortable working in environments still building structure and process
- Experience managing outsourced finance support
- Able to take on a broad remit and operate with autonomy
- Experience within the AI / Software space
