We are partnering with a high-growth, international recruitment business that has been built “born in the cloud” and is now entering its next phase of operational and technological maturity. With a strong Microsoft-centric stack and a clear ambition to leverage AI across the business, this is a pivotal hire sitting at the intersection of technology, operations, and commercial delivery. This role will take ownership of day-to-day IT operations while playing a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s evolving AI and technology strategy.
You will work closely with the CIO and other senior leadership across sales, marketing, and operations, helping embed systems, improve workflows, and drive measurable ROI from technology investments. There is a clear pathway for this role to evolve into a Head of IT position within the next 18–24 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage IT operations across a cloud-native environment
- Deliver technology and AI initiatives, including Copilot deployment and adoption
- Partner with commercial teams to optimise systems and sales workflows
- Lead on information security, systems controls, and data privacy
- Drive system implementation, integration, and continuous improvement
- Act as a bridge between technical capability and business needs (not a back-office IT role)
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years’ experience in IT operations, systems, or technology roles
- Strong understanding of Azure environments and Microsoft stack
- Commercially minded, with an appreciation of sales processes and business flow
- Proven experience delivering and embedding systems or change initiatives
- Comfortable operating in a standalone role initially, with scope to build a team
- Experience with AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, automation, agents) is highly advantageous
- Recruitment or professional services sector experience is beneficial but not essential
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a broader, more strategic role, with real ownership and progression into leadership.
