Compliance Executive
Hybrid – 3 days in Office
Hertfordshire
Up to £40,000
The fundamental purpose of this important role is to enable the company to remain compliant with global legislation and company requirements. This will include working with clients and suppliers of ‘interim / contract’ staffing solutions, i.e. the contractors.
This role reports into the Onboarding Compliance Manager, requires direct involvement within their Compliance & Contracts team and the Sales Team that will occur on a daily basis. Close liaison with all colleagues in the team is required to ensure these policies, laws and changes to both are documented and communicated to the business.
Attention to detail, enthusiasm to deliver a quality service and the ability to understand a wide range of international contract employment solutions (employed model; freelancer etc) are prerequisite for this role.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Act as 1st point of contact in team for candidate-based compliance enquiries
- Identifying compliant, commercially viable business solutions in new geographical locations
- Responsibility for compliance with an understanding of international contractor legislation, including but not limited to AWR, IR35, CIS, Opt Out Regulations, A1 certifications; Ftax, Limosa etc
- Work with the Group’s payroll PSL in delivering compliant solutions to Clients and Contractors
- Maintaining 100% compliance with our PSL of payroll companies onboarding
- Conduct compliance audits, e.g. check existing compliance on file
- Assist with contract and compliance queries and chasing outstanding documentation
- Assist with external compliance audits from clients and legal bodies
- Be aware of legislative changes in the global employment / contract market and ensuring the Company remains compliant
- Liaising with the Sales / Admin / Finance teams to resolve outstanding queries and ensuring Contractors / Client are ready for payment / invoicing
- Bring new ideas to the Contracts and Compliance team in regard to compliance processes
- Escalating to Management any business that comes to your attention outside of company policy
- Working to the Companies Service level Agreements
- To represent the company, adopting the highest possible standards of professionalism at all times
Knowledge/Skills:
Essential
- Knowledge of engagement processes for professional contractors (employed model; freelancers)
- Knowledge of IR35, AWR, CIS as well as exposure to International Tax Compliance
- Experience of the recruitment industry
- Knowledge of compliance/legal procedures
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Efficient and well organised
- Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Competent knowledge of Excel and Word
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment
