Psychotherapist (Children’s Trauma)

Location: North Lincolnshire, Reporting to: Senior Psychotherapist Accountable to: Clinical Director About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Psychotherapist to join our team, supporting children, young people and families affected by trauma and complex needs.

The role involves managing a caseload and delivering therapeutic assessments, interventions and reviews.

You will work collaboratively with young people, families, schools and multi-agency professionals to achieve positive outcomes and ensure a safe, trauma-informed approach.

Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of children, young people and families.

Complete therapeutic assessments and develop individual intervention plans.

Deliver 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions.

Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools and other professionals.

Attend and contribute to multi-agency and review meetings.

Provide professional consultation, training and support where appropriate.

Complete professional reports, including progress, discharge and EHCP reports.

Maintain accurate and confidential clinical and case records.

Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

Participate in supervision, CPD, team meetings and service development.

Promote a trauma-informed, inclusive and child-centred environment.

About You You will have: A recognised diploma/qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy, Social Work, Family Support or a related therapeutic discipline .

Professional membership with an appropriate governing or accredited body.

Experience working therapeutically with children, young people and families .

Knowledge of trauma, attachment, child development, safeguarding and neurodiversity .

Experience completing therapeutic assessments and professional reports.

Experience of multi-agency working.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organisational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Experience within Children’s Services, therapeutic/counselling settings, or trauma-informed practice is highly desirable.
