The Opportunity

We are working with an established private mental health provider in Edinburgh, offering specialist assessment and treatment for a broad range of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental presentations.

The service provides individualised, evidence-based care across areas including ADHD, autism, OCD, depression and other mental health conditions, with a multidisciplinary approach focused on high-quality patient outcomes.

They are now looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join their Edinburgh team on a face-to-face basis, 2 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist looking to develop or expand their private practice while working within an established clinical environment.

The Role

You will provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients presenting with a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Your clinical caseload is expected to include:

  • ADHD assessment and management
  • Autism assessment and clinical support
  • OCD
  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Anxiety and related presentations
  • Other psychiatric presentations within your area of expertise

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other experienced mental health professionals and contribute to a patient-centred, multidisciplinary service.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a psychiatrist who:

  • Holds CCT in Psychiatry and is on the GMC Specialist Register
  • Has a current GMC registration and licence to practise
  • Has substantial experience in psychiatric assessment and treatment
  • Has experience working with ADHD, autism, OCD and/or depression
  • Is confident working independently within a private clinical setting
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and clinical decision‐making skills
  • Takes a compassionate, patient‐centred approach to care
