We are recruiting 5 experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) for a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in the West Midlands. These block-booked agency contracts offer stability, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work in a specialist, high-acuity environment.
The Role
- Provide specialist nursing care to young people experiencing acute mental health crises
- Deliver safe, therapeutic interventions in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support assessment, treatment, and recovery
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical care, safety, and safeguarding
- Contribute to a positive, recovery-focused culture for some of the most vulnerable young people
What We’re Looking For
- Current NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in CAMHS services
- Minimum 12 months recent experience in a CAMHS PICU setting
- Ability to work a 4-on, 3-off, 4-on, 3-off shift pattern
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong de-escalation and therapeutic engagement skills
- Experience managing complex presentations and high-risk situations
- Commitment to trauma-informed and recovery-focused care
