Role Overview
Working in a small team, the Commercial Assistant Apprentice will support the commercial function of the business by assisting with pricing, customer service, supplier coordination, and commercial administration. This role plays an important part in ensuring accurate quotations, smooth customer communication, and effective management of supplier information and agreements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations
- Handle customer queries professionally and effectively
- Raise and process credit notes as required
- Develop and maintain strong product and pricing knowledge
- Develop complete understanding of pricing, including costs and margins
- Complete supplier questionnaires & forms
- Management of supplier portals
- Dealing with highly confidential information including supplier agreements and non-disclosure agreements
Requirements
- Be proficient with a range of Microsoft applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Highly motivated with the ability to work with little supervision
- Be an excellent communicator and have an ability to deal with all internal and external customers
- Attention to detail is essential

Hours of work
8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3.30pm on Friday. On occasion there may be a need to work extra hours depending on job demands. As you will be studying for an apprenticeship, we don’t require our successful candidate to have any prior experience rather we are looking to appoint someone who is keen to learn a range of new skills. We’re hiring for the right attitude - this is so important to us.
