Principal Accountability
Provide comprehensive financial and analytical support to the international finance team during the maternity cover period, including maintaining key financial records, supporting cash management and transfer processes, processing intercompany journals and payroll reconciliations, updating donor reports and exchange rates, and contributing to KPI and financial reporting. The role also ensures accurate financial administration, supports donor funding activities, and maintains data integrity and compliance across all finance operations.
Specific Accountabilities
- Maintain and regularly update the Active Grant Listing, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and update weekly cash flow analysis to support effective cash management.
- Support cash management processes, including preparation of payment request forms (PRFs), cash transfers, and related exchange rate requests.
- Maintain and update exchange rates, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial records and reporting.
- Process and upload intercompany journals and charges as required, including monthly payroll journals.
- Assist in the preparation and updating of donor reports for governance meetings, project kick‑off calls, and final submissions.
- Maintain and update donor funding portfolio information to support financial planning and reporting.
- Produce EA analysis and contribute to KPI and performance reporting.
- Support the preparation of CAMFED Australia Board papers, including relevant financial analysis and reporting.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and support consolidation processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide general finance administration and housekeeping support, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date financial records.
- Undertake any other duties as required to support the finance team.
Person Specification
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Studying towards or interested in pursuing a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA) desirable.
- Interest in international development or the not‑for‑profit sector desirable.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
