Learning and Talent Coordinator - 14-month fixed-term maternity cover
Help us attract great people and create brilliant candidate and employee experiences
Are you an organised, proactive and people-focused coordinator who enjoys making things happen? Do you thrive on keeping recruitment processes moving, creating a great candidate experience and ensuring every detail is taken care of, while also supporting engaging learning and development experiences for our people?
CAMFED supports girls to go to school, thrive and become influential leaders and changemakers in their communities. We’re looking for a Learning and Talent Coordinator to join our People and Culture team and help us deliver that mission through a varied role with a strong focus on recruitment coordination and candidate experience, alongside learning, onboarding and wider People and Culture activity.
Job Title: Learning and Talent Coordinator (Maternity cover)
Reports to: Learning and Talent Operations Manager
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week; fixed-term for 14 months as maternity cover
Location: Cambridge, UK (Hybrid)
Office Working: Expected to work from the office at least one day per month or as required
Start date: 6th January 2027
What will you be doing?
Recruitment will be a key focus of your role. You’ll help us attract and recruit great people by coordinating recruitment activity, supporting hiring managers and ensuring candidates receive a smooth, responsive and engaging experience throughout the process.
You’ll also play an important role in supporting our learning and development offer. Working closely with the Head of Culture & Engagement you’ll help bring learning interventions to life - coordinating everything from planning and logistics through to delivery, evaluation and follow-up. You’ll also support the creation of engaging learning materials and lead the coordination of our People and Culture induction experience.
Alongside recruitment and learning, you’ll contribute to wider People & Culture activity, including internal communications and wellbeing - helping colleagues access relevant information, resources and support through channels such as HiBob, the People & Culture Hub, our Employee Assistance Programme and Mental Health Champions.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident working with people, processes and systems. You’ll be someone who:
- Has experience of providing administrative or coordination support and can manage recruitment processes accurately and efficiently.
- Takes ownership, anticipates what needs to happen and follows things through.
- Builds positive relationships with candidates, hiring managers and colleagues at all levels.
- Is comfortable managing multiple priorities and paying close attention to detail.
- Is confident using systems and technology and enjoys learning new tools quickly.
- Has an interest in recruitment, talent and learning and development.
- Brings creativity and confidence to producing engaging digital content and materials.
- Shares our commitment to our mission, values and creating positive experiences for our people.
Our People and Culture team is on a journey of transformation as we work towards our bold ambition for 2030. We’re building on a strong culture while developing new ways of working that put people first, support growth through learning and enable us to work collaboratively as One Team. This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in that journey - helping us attract talented people, create great candidate experiences and support colleagues to learn, develop and thrive.
