Camfaud Concrete Pumps Ltd is the largest concrete pump hire company in the UK. The Camfaud Group consists of Camfaud Concrete Pumps Ltd, Premier Concrete Pump Ltd and Eco Pan. Camfaud is the only company able to offer national coverage and we are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our well-established Northern Sales team.

The role:

As an Area Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will involve maintaining strong relationships with our existing customers through regular visits within the Northwest Region. During these visits, you will aim to develop a deep understanding of their business in order to identify future projects and anticipate potential business opportunities. Utilising effective sales techniques, your goal will be to highlight our unique selling points and educate customers about our comprehensive range of equipment and services. This approach will help you build a pipeline of repeat business for the future.

You will gather feedback from customers, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying any areas where we can improve or resolve any issues they may have encountered. By proactively addressing customer expectations, you will play a key role in ensuring their happiness and maintaining strong relationships.

In addition to managing existing accounts, as an Account Manager, you will also be responsible for researching the area to identify new business prospects. This will involve canvassing potential customers in the region, introducing the Camfaud Group to new prospects, and establishing contact with decision-makers. Following up with these leads will be crucial in expanding our customer base and generating new business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the growth and maintenance of existing accounts within Northwest Region, including but not limited to Liverpool, Manchester, Bolton, Preston, North Wales & Lancaster.
  • Promote strong relationships with existing customers by regularly account and service meetings, promoting the services of the Camfaud Group in concrete pumping plant hire, utilising the full range of mobile concrete pumps and non-road machinery.
  • Effectively create and manage a forecast of sales opportunities, while tracking and using key metrics to ensure business targets are achieved.
  • Negotiate the most favourable pricing for hire fleet and other services.
  • Schedule and attend visits to clients and prospects.
  • Conduct lead generation activities through research and qualifying these leads to identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify and reach out to potential new accounts, actively developing relationships and fostering new business opportunities.
  • Work towards sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Handle other ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned.
  • Report to the National Sales Director at monthly sales meetings.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

What we’re looking for from the successful candidate:

  • To be a self-motivated and dynamic individual capable of developing relationships and driving results.
  • Ability to talk to a range of people as you will be customer-focused & driven, your excellent communication skills help you connect with others easily.
  • Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts and customers.
  • IT literate: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook - to support effective sales analysis and management of the territory.
  • Ideally experienced within Concrete, Construction, Plant equipment or similar industries.
  • Proven Area Sales Manager background.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Skills and qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Administration.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
