Camfaud employs over 300 staff across various depots throughout the UK and, due to our continued expansion, we are actively seeking an experienced HGV Fitter to join our team at our Cumbernauld depot.

The Role
We have a large fleet of Mobile Concrete Pumps, Static Plant, HGVs and Motor Vehicles across the UK that require regular maintenance and repair.
We are looking for an experienced HGV Fitter to predominantly service, maintain and repair our HGV-mounted concrete pumps, HGVs and other vehicles, while also working on plant equipment when required.
Reporting to the Operations/Service Manager, the main purpose of the role is to service and repair a wide range of HGVs, vehicles and plant equipment in accordance with Company and Manufacturers' Service Schedules.
Job Responsibilities
Maintaining and servicing HGVs, Mobile Concrete Pumps, Static Plant and Motor Vehicles.
Carrying out scheduled service inspections, servicing and repairs in compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
Attending client sites to repair malfunctioning HGVs, plant and equipment.
Carrying out repairs and maintenance to HGV-mounted concrete pumps.
Electrical fault-finding, including vehicle electrical systems and truck lighting.
Carrying out welding and fabrication work where required.
Performing spot-checks on Mobile Plant to ensure operators are carrying out basic daily maintenance and reporting issues.
Following safety and housekeeping standards both in the workshop and at customer sites.
Undertaking regular maintenance procedures to ensure vehicles and plant are serviced in line with company protocols.
Following up site-based remedial work in the workshop to ensure the longevity of repairs.
Building relationships and working effectively with contractors and clients under time-critical conditions.
Previous HGV Fitter or HGV Technician experience.
Plant Fitter experience would be advantageous.
Experience with vehicle electrical systems and truck lighting.
NVQ Level 2/3 in HGV Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance, Plant Maintenance or a relevant qualification.
Full Driving Licence.
HGV Licence Class 2 would be advantageous.
CSCS card would be advantageous.
Welding experience.
Fabrication skills.
Mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Travel will be required as part of the role.
Plant experience is not essential.
We can provide training on our concrete pumps and plant equipment, allowing you to develop your skills and become an all-round HGV/Plant Fitter.
Hours
The workshop hours in Cumbernauld depot are 07:00 17:00 Mon- Fri, 07:00-13:00 Sat if required.
