Role:
We are looking for a Finance Apprentice (AAT Level 3) to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who has developed a solid foundation in finance or accounting and is now ready to build more advanced skills while studying towards AAT Level 3. As a Level 3 Finance Apprentice, you will build on core accounting fundamentals and begin to take on more responsibility within the finance function. Alongside your apprenticeship studies, you will support management accounting activities and gain exposure to month end processes, reporting, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day to day finance operations (purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash processing)
- Assist with reconciliations and basic balance sheet accounts
- Support month end processes, including journals and reporting
- Assist with cost centre and departmental reporting
- Help prepare financial data for management accounts
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities (as skills develop)
- Carry out basic data analysis using Excel
- Maintain accurate and well-organised financial records
Essential Requirements:
- A genuine interest in starting a career in accountancy or finance
- Ambitious, motivated, and keen to learn
- Willingness to study AAT Level 3 as part of an apprenticeship (14-18 months)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numeracy and organisational skills
- Comfortable using Excel and finance systems (or keen to learn)
