About the role:

We are looking for a qualified Electrician with an NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and Gold ECS/CSCS Card who is ready for something different. The role is ideal for someone currently working in domestic or commercial electrical installation who wants to move into the fast‑growing world of temporary power, generators, and construction plant electrics. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers installing, maintaining, fault‑finding, and commissioning temporary power systems for construction sites, infrastructure projects, events, industrial facilities, and critical backup power applications. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. Full specialist training on generators, power distribution, plant electrics, and temporary power systems will be provided for the right candidate. You must have experience working on 3‑phase power.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installing and connecting temporary power systems.
  • Working on generators, distribution boards, cables, and associated equipment.
  • Fault‑finding and diagnosing electrical issues on site.
  • Carrying out inspections, maintenance, and testing.
  • Assisting with commissioning and load testing.
  • Working safely on construction and industrial sites.
  • Supporting emergency response breakdowns when required.
  • Completing electrical paperwork and job reports.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Gold ECS/CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience working on 3‑phase power.
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in electrical installation or maintenance.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Preferred (Not Essential):

  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or temporary power.
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (2391).
  • Experience working on construction sites.
  • Generator or plant experience.
  • IPAF / PASMA / First Aid.
